The Race The concept is simple... teams ride as many laps as they can in 24 hours and the team with the most laps in the least time wins. While the idea of racing on a mountain bike for 24 hours may seem daunting, when you are in a team of 4, 6 or more riders it is actually a huge weekend of fun and challenge. For 2009, the MONT is held at Sparrow Hill, Canberra. It's a well renowned riding venue with some of the nicest singletrack around and course designer Paul Cole has put together a very nice flowing course for your enjoyment. Riders come to the MONT; for a chance at podium (or bragging rights back at the tent) to hang out with their mates and meet people who ride to check out new season bikes and gear and, to rail some of the best single track around.
What is the Mont 24 Hour?
It can mean many things to many people, so we've drawn together many of our experiences to give you an insight into what the Mont 24 MTB Hour Race means to us. There's plenty, so we've put them here.
